The Board of Directors of RECEVIN, met in the European Parliament in Brussels has awarded the italian city of Conegliano & Valdobbiadene as European Wine City for 2016.
Conegliano&Valdobbiadene are located in the region of Veneto,in the province of Treviso. Candidates for world heritage of UNESCO, these municipalities are a symbol of a wine-making tradition also known worldwide,and a well-known wine for all,the Prosecco.
This nomination recognizes, among the various candidates, the one that makes the proposal more representative of the essence of a European Wine City through the organization of initiatives to foster greater dissemination of Wine Culture among all citizens of European Union, focusing on different areas as society, landscape, economy, gastronomy and heritage.
